Sycamore Montessori Schoolhouse opened in the Fall of 2019 with a goal of creating a small community of families that focuses on creating a welcoming home-like environment in our classroom, developing a love of learning in the children, and creating a supportive and fun community for the children to thrive in.
Toddlers
Ages: walking to 2.5/3 years old
Our Montessori toddler classroom is a peaceful, nurturing environment where children explore, learn, and develop independence at their own pace. Carefully prepared shelves offer hands-on materials that encourage concentration, coordination, language, and problem-solving.
Through meaningful activities such as pouring, scooping, washing, dressing, and caring for their environment, toddlers build confidence and practical skills. With gentle guidance from experienced Montessori teachers, children learn to make choices, care for themselves and others, and develop fine motor, gross motor, language skills, and pre-writing skills.
Early Childhood
Ages: 2.5/3 Years to 6 years old
Our 3–6 Montessori classroom is a peaceful, engaging environment where children build confidence, independence, and a love of learning. Hands-on Montessori materials encourage concentration, problem-solving, coordination, language, and early academic skills.
Children choose activities based on their interests and receive gentle guidance from experienced teachers. Through practical life, sensorial, language, math, cultural studies, and creative activities, children develop the skills they need to become confident, capable learners and prepare for kindergarten.
